Daughters of Hans O. and Caroline (Bergan) Lobben, Norwegian immigrants who came to Benson, Minn. in 1880 and to Fargo in 1881. Clara H. Lobben was born 1883 at Oakes, N.D. In 1918, she graduated from Moorhead State Normal School, later taught at Longfellow and Wilson schools in Fargo. She was the first principal at Ben Franklin School (1927-1948), active in the North Dakota Education Association, retired in 1948, and died in 1963. Gertrude A. (Gertie) was born at Fargo in 1892.
